Log Jammer at Six Flags Magic Mountain to be Removed

Screamscape is reporting that in addition to the loss of Deja Vu, Six Flags Magic Mountain will also be removing the Log Jammer log flume ride. For those of you that didn’t get a chance to ride this ride, I’ve included a POV from CoasterView.com. If this is true, it’s removal will leave a very large opening in the front of the park for a possible future attraction. More details as they become available.

Holiday World Announces Mammoth Water Ride

Holiday World announced today the building of a new water ride called Mammoth for 2012. Mammoth will surpass Wildebeest, also at Holiday World, as the world’s longest water coaster. The ride features a 6 person raft that carries riders a total of 1763 feet. The ride uses similar propulsion technology to Wildebeest and will be built next to its predecessor. Schlitterbahn Announces The Falls Water Ride

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels just announced the world’s longest water ride, The Falls. The Falls is a tubing river adventure that traverses rapids, waves, and water falls. It features an AquaVeyer lift hill so guests never have to leave their tube. Check out after the break for a video.

Pilgrims Plunge Testing

The HoliBlog has posted video of Pilgrims Plunge testing. The boat was hoisted up the drop because the lift hasn’t started testing yet. They are working with varied water depths to get the biggest splash. It is really funny to see a water ride in the winter though…

Buccaneer Battle Construction Update

A construction update has been posted to the official Six Flags Great America Buccaneer Battle Construction site. The station’s walls are now up, but looks like they have awhile to go before the park opens in April.

Pilgrims Plunge Goes Vertical

Pilgrims Plunge, the new water ride going in at Holiday World, has gone vertical. When completed, this ride will be the tallest and fastest water ride in the world. Check out the more link for photos and a video.
