The ride will be 3,127 feet long, just a tad longer than Great America’s Wing Rider. It will feature a full vertical loop (the first on a Wing Rider) and 3 other inversions. Continue reading

Six Flags New England Announces Goliath for 2012
Six Flags New England formally announced their plans to bring Deja Vu from Six Flags Magic Mountain to their park in 2012. The ride will be renamed Goliath but keep the current paint scheme. This makes the second year in a row that Six Flags New England has received a relocated ride. While Deja Vu is a name that makes sense, I realize that by dropping the Deja Vu moniker Six Flags has one less name to trademark. Goliath has been trademarked for awhile for the rides in Los Angeles and more recently San Antonio. Check out a video and press release below. The video is quite funny because about half way through it shows footage of Kingda Ka that has been reversed. The rest of the footage is from Six Flags Great America’s version. Continue reading

Six Flags Fiesta Texas will be adding a Sky Screamer for 2012. This tower swing ride, like the one that went in last year at Six Flags St. Louis. It will tower 200 ft above ground level, high enough to see above the quarry walls. Check out a video and the full release below. Continue reading
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Announces Superman Ultimate Flight
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has announced Superman Ultimate Flight for 2012. No, not that Superman Ultimate Flight. This is a 150 ft tall Premier launched roller coaster that launches riders 62 mph though a number of controlled inversions and then a giant non-inverting loop like on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. Based on the renders, it looks like this ride will be replacing Pandemonium, but no confirmation has been given yet. Check out the video below as words do a poor job of describing this unique ride. Six Flags America Announces Apocalypse for 2012
Six Flags America officially announced Apocalypse for 2012, which many know is Iron Wolf being removed from Six Flags Great America. Check out a video and the press release below. Continue reading

Dorney Park Officially Announces Stinger
Dorney Park has released their new 2012 attraction, Stinger. This inverted boomerang roller coaster is being relocated from California’s Great America. You’ll note the paint job is very similar to the new Leviathan roller coaster going in at Canada’s Wonderland. Probably got a good deal on those colors!
Check out the official ride page from Dorney Park, complete with construction webcam.
