Cedar Point to open Pink’s Hot Dogs

The hot dog to the stars will also be coming to visitors of Cedar Point this year. It is the first franchise to open East of Las Vegas.

Cedar Point to add Starlight Experience for 2009

Cedar Point will be getting a new “attraction” for 2009 after all. Their new Starlight Experience will be a light show on the Frontier Trail featuring over 1 million LED lights (similar to Christmas lights). They are also replacing the concrete and adding a new sign to the main entrance area. Check out the updates to their blog here.

The Cedar Point Blog has posted a new update with some photos of Spring at Cedar Point. Trains are going back on the tracks and signs of life are starting to come up all over the place.

Some aerial photos of Cedar Point were taken recently and uploaded to Flickr. Personally I love aerial theme park photos and this set of pictures is no exception. Looks like Cedar Point is doing some rehab on Wicked Twister and doing some much needed work on Mean Streak. Check out the photos here.

Over at the Theme Park Review, member pianojohn has posted a Cedar Point tour book he found on ebay from 1969. One of the most interesting things is the picture overview of the island and how much they have expanded in the last 40 years.

The guys over at the official Cedar Point blog have an update about the placement of this year’s webcams. They give us the location of the first one, but they are mighty mysterious about the 2nd one’s location.

No New Rides for Cedar Point in 2009

According to the official Cedar Point Blog, Cedar Point will not be getting any new rides or roller coasters this year. They do mention that they will be improving the park with some new refereshment stands and probably game stalls. The blog also has a few pictures of the new Cedar Fair Corporate Headquarters.
