OrlandoRocks.com has posted a few more photos of Harry Potter construction at Islands of Adventure. We still are not able to tell a lot about what is going on inside of the castle but work has finally started around the old Enchanted Oak area. I also heard a rumor that they may repaint Dueling Dragons to give them a color scheme more closely matching some of the dragons found in the Harry Potter books.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter to get Hogwarts Express Replica

Apparently the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will also be getting a full size (but non-working) replica of the Hogwarts Express train found in the books and the movies. The article states that the train will be a perfect replica right down to all of the rivets and the whole train will be open to visitors to touch and feel. New photos of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter have been posted to Orlando Rocks. Not a lot of new visible construction but I’m sure they have accomplished a lot in there giant coffin, err… castle.

OrlandoRocks has some new construction photos of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter uploaded for all to enjoy. Not a lot of visible progress made since the last update but I’m sure they are hard at work inside the concrete box.

New Concept Art of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Some new concept art has been uploaded to the official Wizard World of Harry Potter site. The photo here is a rendering of Dervish and Banges, set to be located in the Hogsmeade section of the area. It looks like they are really going to authenticity to the books, and as long as they can get back on schedule I expect a lot of visitors for them in 2010. Note, thanks to HPProgs.com for the link.

Universal Orlando Photo Updates

Photo updates have been posted to Orlando United and Orlando Rocks. Hollywood Rip Ride and Rockit continues to get new track and they are beginning to work on the lift hill. Found out today that the lift hill will not have a giant LED screen due to costs and will instead be covered in a giant banner. Orlando United also has some pictures of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the giant box, er, castle, going up in the back of the park. Should be awesome to compare this castle with Cinderella’s when all is said and done.

Universal Orlando Announces Free Admission To Military

Members of the military can now recieve a free seven-day unlimited admission pass to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure. Their friends and family will also be able to get discounts for their tickets. Seems like a great way to honor our servicemen and their families for going through so much to keep us safe.

Hagrid’s Hut Update

A new picture has surfaced of Hagrid’s Hut (or at least that’s what we think it is) on IOACentral. It looks just like his hut in the movie. It’s nice to see a theme park go all out and bring a theme together so well like this, it should be a fun place for kids and adults.
