Looks like Media Day was a lot of fun.  We were invited but it would have been a long drive.  This roller coaster continues to look better and better.  It is extremely smooth and seems to fly through the track with great pacing.  Head over to Theme Park Review for the full set of pictures!

Six Flags Over Texas will begin to offer 6 visits for $49.99 beginning Friday to help families suffering from the economy.  According to Mark Shapiro, the parks are doing amazingly well so far this summer.  Listen to an interview from him over at KRLD – CEO Spotlight.

Also notable, Six Flags will be blowing up whole sections of the Texas Giant.  Shapiro also stated the ride would be getting new trains and new controls.  Sounds like all good things to me!

The Texas Giant will be going through extensive rehabilitation in 2010 for the park’s 50th anniversary.  The rehabilitation will include new trains and major track work to smooth out the ride.

Mark Shapiro also announced that Six Flags Over Texas will receive a major new attraction in 2011 as will every Six Flags park.  Cannot wait to see what they have in store!
